जो प्रभु की छाया में रहने पाते हैं, वो सर्वशक्तिमान की सुरक्षा में समा जाते हैं। कहते हैं वो प्रभु से, "तू मेरी शरण, मेरा किला, तुझ पर है भरोसा, तू ही मेरी रक्षा का पहरा।" प्रभु तुझे शिकारी के जाल से बचाएगा, हर भयंकर रोग से भी दूर कराएगा। अपने पंखों के नीचे तुझे छुपा लेगा, उसकी सच्चाई तेरी ढाल बन जाएगी। हजारों गिरे तेरे एक ओर, और लाखों तेरे पास, पर तुझे कोई छू नहीं पाएगा, ये उसका खास विश्वास। क्योंकि तूने प्रभु को अपनी शरण माना, ऊँचाई के परमेश्वर को अपनी आश्रय-स्थल ठाना। तुझे कोई विपत्ति नहीं आएगी पास, क्योंकि तेरे साथ उसके दूतों का रखवाला है ख़ास। प्रभु की इस छाया में तू निडर और सुरक्षित है, सदा उसके प्रेम में, तू महफूज़ और संरक्षित है।

धरती प्रभु की है, और उस पर सबकुछ, समुद्रों पर उसने नींव रखी, पर्वतों पर बसी उसकी धूप। कौन चढ़ेगा उसके पवित्र पर्वत पर, कौन खड़ा होगा उसके पवित्र स्थान पर? वही जिसके हाथ साफ हैं, और दिल निर्मल है, जिसने अपनी आत्मा को झूठ की राह से बचा लिया है। वही पाएगा आशीर्वाद प्रभु से, उध्दार की शोभा उसी पर सज जाएगी। हे द्वारों, ऊँचे हो जाओ, हे पुराने फाटकों, उठ जाओ! कि महिमा का राजा आ सके, कौन है वो महिमा का राजा? — प्रभु, शक्तिशाली और बलशाली।
