The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still standing today. It is located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt and was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu around 2560 BCE. The pyramid originally stood at 146.6 meters (481 feet) but has slightly decreased in height over time due to erosion. It was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. The exact method of its construction remains a mystery, but it is believed that workers used ramps and levers to move the massive stones. Inside the pyramid, there are several chambers, including the King’s Chamber, the Queen’s Chamber, and the Grand Gallery. Today, the Great Pyramid of Giza is a major tourist attraction and a symbol of Egypt’s rich history.
