We ran through the city like ghosts in the machine, hologram legends, midnight machines, eyes full of static, hearts full of gun smoke, the last true arcade kids the world ever broke. We lived through the glitch, like a beam in the night, for rooftops that shimmered like screens full of light, for neon-lit highways with no exit signs, where forever felt real, and the world felt like mine.
