It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Everywhere I go. But this year it’s kind of strange, in my camo greens for a change, Marching down these barracks all aglow. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, But training never rests! Got the Corps spirit near, with the brothers I hold dear, I’ve just passed MCT’s tests! I just turned twenty too, with boot camp in my rear view, And I’m heading to MP School, learning something new. Though I won’t be home this year, I’m holding on tight To the pride of a Marine in sight. It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas, Humming carols in my head, With my squad as family here, bringing holiday cheer, As the Drill Instructor calls out, “Lights out!” instead. Me and my grandpa, oh he’s the best, I call him Pa—my holiday chest. We loaded our world, Minecraft on the screen, Spawned in a snowy land, felt like a dream. Chopping down spruce trees, snowflakes in the air, Building up hopes with joy everywhere. In our winter wonderland, we’ll build day and night, From rivers to hills, wrapped in holiday light. With each little adventure, our spirits stay bright, In this blocky world, we light up the night. We sailed down the icy river, side by side, Found a cozy forest where we could reside. Built a village with a blacksmith, a bakery too— Oh Pa, you’re the best, there’s nothing we can’t do! Hunger came calling, so with laughter we played, Pa went off to “borrow” what the villagers made. In our winter wonderland, we’ll build day and night, From snowy peaks to valleys in holiday light. Exploring our first cave with thrills in our hearts, Finding coal and iron—that’s just the start. I built my little house, then we did his too, Crafting holiday dreams, just me and you. The villagers came and brought us a prize, With mending books gifted—a Christmas surprise! Reindeer-like horses and donkeys danced free, With pandas munching bamboo under the tree. Then we set our sights high—an Ender Dragon to fight, With enchanted gear, we battled with might. Victory was sweet, our spirits so high, As we looked to the stars in a wintery sky. In our winter wonderland, we’ll build day and night, From rivers to hills, under holiday light. With every adventure, we never lose spark, In this blocky world, we light up the dark. Now we hang our tools in a room aglow, Memories made in blocks, lit up like snow. Pa and me forever, in this Minecraft land, Building holiday stories, each one hand in hand. Oh, me and my grandpa, together we’ll stay, In our wintery world, we’ll play Christmas Day!
