With a heavy heart about to explode I put my earphones on, forgetting About the way I usually keep thinking. And music was on, airplane mode. Random people talking around me I couldn"t get away from this situation Wishing you were right next to me And that heartache wasn"t an option. The plane was finally ready to take off. I chose to look through the window Holding onto what I couldn"t take care of. And everything suddenly became slow. Reminiscing the irrecoverable good times I knew I couldn"t ignore the fact of you Slowly fading away as the signal chimes. Your last words appearing out of the blue "We"ll get through this together" I bitterly smiled as awareness took over Indeed was it much harder to do than said Reality hit like their lies as I silently pled. We once thought we were perfect. I couldn"t figure out what went wrong With the happiness we used to expect And maybe together we didn"t belong Preventing myself from shedding tears I suddenly drowned into my usual poetry. As hopeless and sad as it always appears There was no more "us" but "you" and "me".

A Cigarette’s Lifetime Furrowed eyebrows and sighs... Made my heart slowly sink, Feeling a weight on my thighs, Finding the courage not to blink... I shivered at the cold lips! Brushing my cupped cheeks, Ache emanating from her fingertips, I inwardly begged for time to stop. As the three words escaped, My cool mask had to drop, A warm smile was hardly shaped, Yet silence echoed through the fog. The now-brown filter was attained, Breathing out to relieve the pain, Smoke curled, whispers feigned, A fading ember, a love restrained. Fingers trembled, lingering touch, Ashes danced in the dim light, A moment lost—it hurt too much, Yet I exhaled, embracing night. The cigarette met its bitter end, Just like the words left unsaid, Smoke dissolved, and so did we— A memory trapped in reverie.
